Becoming a Better Ancestor
Join our global movement to create a world that thrives for generations to come.
The Call to Becoming a Better Ancestor.
Imagine looking back seven generations and seeing how racism, colonialism, and other unfair systems have hurt people and places. But now, we’re seeing communities coming together to protect each other and the planet.
We believe we are the ones we’ve been waiting for, and it’s up to us to create a better world for future generations. That’s why we’re building a Better Ancestor movement. We want to make decisions today that will help our people, our communities, and the planet thrive for seven generations to come. Join us in shaping a brighter future for everyone. Let’s be the change our world needs.
At BetterAncestor.org we understand how history shapes our present and future. Our movement is all about leaving behind a legacy that our successors will love–a story they’ll want to carry on. Join our global #betterancestor community by signing the pledge and committing to making the world more abundant. Together, let’s build a future we can all be proud of.
“We do not inherit the world from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”

Why the Pledge Matters?
Against the backdrop of systemic racism, climate crises, economic challenges, and societal inequalities, the urgency for collective action reverberates louder than ever. Despite notable strides, the lingering effects of these issues persist, underscoring the imperative for global unity. We’re at a tipping point- rooted in the painful lessons of history and the realities of a global economic shift, to pave a path towards a future characterized by justice and prosperity.
To dismantle the oppressive systems that have perpetuated inequality, this moment calls upon us to exercise our agency like never before, acknowledging the deep-rooted injustices that people of color and marginalized communities have endured. Their resilience in suffering is etched into the very fabric of our society, a stark reminder of the injustices that have stained our collective conscience. The call to becoming better ancestors beckons us to mend our societal fabric and plot the story as we want future generations to read it.
Let us seize this moment with unwavering resolve, knowing that the choices we make today will shape the world tomorrow. Better Ancestor is a portal into a new era of abundance and equity, where individuals and future generations thrive in a world free from discrimination and oppression. This is our chance to build a legacy that our successors will be proud to build on, a tale they will be honored to tell. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
